Kalaburagi (officially Kalaburagi City, also known as Gulbarga) is a city in the Indian state of Karnataka, India.
As of the 2014 Indian census, Kalaburagi has a population of 1,101,989. Males constitute 55% of the population and females 45%. Kalaburagi has an average literacy rate of 67%, higher than the national average of 59.5%. The male literacy is 70%, while that of females is 30%. In Kalaburagi, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age
