Dindigul is a city in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is the administrative headquarters of the Dindigul district.

According to 2011 census, Dindigul had a population of 207,327 with a sex-ratio of 1,012 females for every 1,000 males, much above the national average of 929. A total of 19,603 were under the age of six, constituting 10,126 males and 9,477 females.
